This site is a tribute to our son George Mellor, who died before he was born when I was 5 months (21 weeks and 4 days) pregnant. 

He only had one kidney and he had a problem with his heart. We think that he did so well to live as long as he did considering the condition his heart was in. I even got to feel him moving around inside me in the weeks before he died. 

We are so grateful for the incredible support and kindness we have received from the NHS. Having to go to hospital and deliver our son after finding out he had died was the hardest thing we have ever had to do but it was made easier by all the nurses doctors and people who had been through the same thing whose donations filled our hospital room (see the pictures below.)

I wasn’t planning on doing anything like this but since this happened I have heard so many other people’s stories and felt inspired to help try and break the silence about something that affects so many people but yet is rarely spoken about.

We have also been truly touched with the love and support we have received from all our friends and family as the photos below show. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent us flowers, food, self care products and who have already made donations to Little Hearts Matter. This and talking to others who have had similar experiences inspired me to create this page in memory of our son to help raise money to do more research and to try and help others who have to go through this in future.

Our son George is much loved and will always be remembered.
